CVS / Aetna Broadcast Facility

Principal Design Engineer and Lead Commissioner for a new broadcast facility at CVS Aetna through Broadcast Management Group, featuring a Ross FR12 build powering two fully independent control rooms from a single 12RU frame.

Served as Principal Design Engineer and Lead Commissioner for a new broadcast facility at the CVS Aetna campus through Broadcast Management Group, replacing aging studio infrastructure with a modern, efficient production environment built around the Ross FR12 platform.

The design achieves remarkable efficiency—a single 12RU frame powers two fully independent control rooms, supporting two remote locations plus an on-site studio. This consolidation dramatically reduces rack space, power consumption, and operational complexity.

Native Zoom and Microsoft Teams integration was engineered directly into the FR12 routing fabric, enabling seamless contribution from remote guests and hybrid meeting participants without external encode/decode hardware. Presenters and talent can join via standard conferencing clients while appearing as clean, delay-managed sources within the production switcher—bridging corporate communication workflows with broadcast-grade production.

The system was engineered with scalability at its core, with clear pathways for future expansion including HDR and 4K capabilities, enhanced I/O routing, and additional production environments as CVS's content needs grow.
